Yoga is one of those things people feel you have to be flexible in order to even step foot into a yoga room. I get it, everyone looks at the magazine that have beautiful poses and you think "yeah that's not me". Well guess what? It's not me either. Yoga shows up in the body you have, yoga does not ask for you to be flexible or have the best yoga clothes. All it asks of you is to be open. Open to change, open to sensations in your body and open grace. Beginners yoga can help put the fear aside and get you into the yoga room with a bunch of "like minded people". The poses are broken down so one can understand how and why they should feel in the body, how the breathing effects our daily life and what time of props to use along with a yoga mat. Serenity will begin to offer more beginners classes. But in the meantime I would suggest starting out in our following classes:
Tuesday: 9am or 7:15pm (Yin Yoga)
Thursday: 9:00am (warm flow), 10:30 (gentle), 5:30pm or 7:00pm
Saturday: 8:00 am
Sunday: 8:00 am
And don't forget to take advantage of our "New Student Special" one-week unlimited yoga!
