Winter Solstice - December 21st

The Winter Solstice marks a return to light from the darkness that we experience..... within ourselves and in nature. Given the year we have had I think it is safe to say it's time to let the light in.. I take this time to get clear on what I am holding onto and what I really need to let go of. Go ahead and find a comfortable seat, blanket, paper, Golden Milk, and your journal.

Golden Milk - Golden Milk is one of my favorites and has a ton of benefits. To make follow my simple recipe.

GOLDEN MILK RECIPE Serves 1 2 cups of your favorite milk (almond, coconut or organic whole milk) 1 tablespoon turmeric, freshly grated, or 1 teaspoon powdered organic turmeric 3 or 4 black peppercorns 1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated (optional) 1 teaspoon honey Gently heat milk and stir in all the other ingredients except the honey. Strain and sweeten to taste.

Now that you have your Golden Milk let's start to let shit go!

  1. Release to rise. Think about these questions and when you have the answer write them on a piece of paper. What do you need to let go of to expand into your truest self? Is it fear? Stress? Worry? Regret? Once you have your answers, read them out loud, and say goodbye to each item. Light the paper on fire and toss it into the fireplace. Now if you don't have a fireplace make sure you toss it into something that will contain the fire.

  2. Invite the light back in - Grab your journal and begin to reflect on what the light means to you. What lights you up? How do you remind others of their light and beauty? Who reminds you of yours? After you are done journaling your answers, begin to read each one out loud. For each one say "I welcome the light back in"

  3. At this point my pen to paper is moving - I continue to write what I am ready to receive, what I am deserving of, and lastly how I will shine bright this year (NO EXCUSES) I write this affirmation big and bold in my journal and each morning I come to it as a reminder to stay true to my goals.

Here's to shinning bright and being bold this Solstice..

Happy Arbor Day - Let's Hug A Tree

I've always been fascinated with tree's. They represented strength, grace, relaxation, protection from the sun, and most of the time the ability to withstand what Mother Nature throws at it. Like us
