TEACHERS
Our skillful instructors help you go deeper into your practice while respecting your individual needs. We encourage all yogis to move towards a mindful practice that balances the physicality of asanas with breath work and meditation. Whether you are new to yoga or have made it a part of your lifestyle for many years, we invite you to enter the studio with a beginner’s mind and be open to the possibilities of your practice.

At Serenity Yoga & Wellness, we practice the intention of yoga by treating everyone with respect and love. We are passionate about helping students deepen their mind/body connection, heal from past physical injuries and emotional trauma, and empower personal growth.
BILLIE WIANT
500-RYT, Vinyasa Flow,Yin & Yoga Nidra
Billie received her first yoga class as a Valentine’s Day gift in 2018, and the gift that yoga gave back is one she loves to share with everyone. A lifelong hair stylist, Billie was looking for a new direction that still allowed her to connect with others, and yoga provided that opportunity. Starting as a student at Serenity Yoga, she soon got her friends, family, and husband to attend classes as well. Her passion for yoga led her to become a teacher, and she is now the proud owner of Serenity Yoga Studio.

Billie finds the meditative aspects of yoga and longer holds, like those in Yin Yoga, to be particularly transformative.

In her classes, Billie offers options for all levels, encouraging those who want to work harder while assuring those who prefer a gentler practice that they are free to choose how to practice in their own bodies. This inclusive approach has helped create a loving and compassionate community at Serenity Yoga Studio.

"In my class, you will find a safe place to let go, a smiling face, a non-judgmental teaching style, and a warm environment. Yoga is freedom and acceptance. My goal is to help others find this space so they can move their bodies through life with compassion and joy. Welcome to your mat. Welcome home." – Billie

AMANDA TISDEL
RYT-200, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Embodiment
& Ecstatic Dance
Amanda found yoga in 2008 when she entered her very first hot yoga class and it changed her life forever. As someone who up until that point in her life had never thought about movement, health or wellness, yoga shifted her life trajectory in a great way from the inside out. Since then she has dedicated her life to movement and breath and embodiment as a way to live a fuller, more present and more enriched life. Amanda continued to receive yoga as her sacred embodied spiritual practice while she went on to become a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor where she taught movement modalities such as Pilates, HIIT, and even Ecstatic Dance until 2023 when she finally received her 200-hour YTT in Southern California from I Heart Yoga.
Amanda believes that Yoga is a doorway into a life of self discovery and self inquiry. It's a curious play where we get to utilize breath and movement to embark on a deeper life journey if we desire. Amanda loves to share upbeat and challenging Vinyasa style yoga with others while also creating a safe and encouraging space for people of every body type and every fitness level to join in and create their own unique experience in class. She offers different variations and utilizes tools like blocks and straps to make every pose accessible to everybody. She believes there is no right way to do yoga and we all get to play and move into and out of shapes that serve our body and our souls awakening.
Amanda’s favorite motto for everything these days is, “It’s just not that serious!”

JENN HICKMAN
RYT-200, Certified Trauma Informed Yoga & Meditation, & Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Facilitator, Vinyasa
Hey there! I'm Jenn — Yoga Lover, Mindfulness Guide, and SEL Superfan!

I've been on the yoga journey for almost a decade, starting with just wanting a good stretch and ending up falling in love with the whole mind-body-spirit thing. Turns out, yoga is way more than just cool poses—it's a deep, magical, sometimes messy path to healing, growth, and inner peace (with a few wobbly tree poses along the way).

I teach with a big heart and a gentle, playful vibe—combining movement, breath, and mindfulness in a way that feels authentic, inclusive, and totally human. My approach blends traditional yoga wisdom with modern practices like somatics and trauma-informed care, all wrapped up in a cozy, welcoming space where you can just be you.

By day, I'm a K-2 Special Education Teacher who sneaks yoga and mindfulness into the classroom (shhh, don’t tell the kids—it’s actually good for them!). I also team up with local schools to bring yoga to students and athletes, and basically say “yes” to any chance I get to share the benefits of yoga with the community.
Off the mat, you’ll often find me hiking through nature with my spouse of 17 years, watching a good thriller movie with my soul level son, baking sourdough while sidestepping five fur babies who clearly think they’re in charge, digging in the garden to connect more deeply with Mother Earth, or curled up with a good book—depending on the season and my caffeine levels!

I can't wait to connect and share the magic of yoga with you. Let’s breathe, connect and grow together one asana at a time.
